My name is Tara R. Edmonds, and I am honored to serve as Chapter President of the Bergen County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, representing its executive officers and  chapter members! As a 39-year member of this great sorority, I remain committed to the vision of our 22 Founders and to leading this Chapter to greater heights as we continue its rich and impactful legacy.  

The Bergen County Alumnae Chapter serves Bergen County in Northern New Jersey. Chartered in 1976, our programs are aligned to the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.

Our  theme for this year is Back to the Basics: Reset, Renew, Revitalize. We believe that by coming together and actively working towards resetting, renewing, revitalizing our sisterhood, we can strategically and impactfully serve our community. We openly welcome new sorors to the area and those who want to reconnect.
